PHMB Foam Antimicrobial Dressing

Indications

• For moderately to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds at risk of infection

• Suitable for:

  • Pressure ulcers

  • Leg and foot ulcers

  • Diabetic foot ulcers

  • Surgical wounds

• Can be used under compression bandaging

Key Features

• Sterile antimicrobial wound dressing

• Absorbent hydrophilic polyurethane foam pad containing PHMB (polyhexamethylene biguanide, polyhexanide)

• PHMB is released in the presence of wound exudate for targeted antimicrobial action

• Laminated with a pink, low-friction, waterproof polyurethane film

• Available with or without adhesive

• Wound contact layer: clear perforated film prevents adherence to the wound bed

• Non-adhesive version includes a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive for secure placement
