Description

• Forms a soft gel when in contact with wound exudate

• Supports moist wound management for optimal healing

• Soft and conformable – can be molded, folded, or cut to fit various wound shapes

• Fast-gelling, high mannuronic acid fibres with low fibre shed

• Maintains high wet and dry strength

Indications

• Minor conditions:

  • Lacerations

  • Abrasions

  • Skin tears

  • Minor burns

• Under healthcare professional supervision:

  • Full and partial thickness wounds

  • Leg ulcers

  • Pressure ulcers

  • Diabetic foot ulcers

  • Surgical wounds

Precautions

• Ensure packing in cavities/sinuses is fully removed

• May adhere to lightly exuding wounds – moisten with saline before removal if needed

• Do not use in patients with a known allergy to alginates
