For exudate absorption and management of partial to full-thickness wounds, including:
-
Ulcers (venous, arterial, diabetic)
-
Pressure sores
-
Donor sites
-
Surgical incisions & excisions
-
Burns (1st and 2nd degree)

-
Maintains a moist wound environment → optimal for healing
-
Provides physical separation from external contaminants, helping reduce bacterial contamination
Key Features
-
Optimal exudate management
-
Wide range of dressing sizes
-
Can be left in place for up to 7 days (5 days for sacral dressings, depending on exudate levels)
-
Breathable top film
-
Foam core with non-adherent wound contact layer
-
Profiled edges for comfort and conformability
-
Waterproof and protective against leakage
-
Conformable, comfortable, and low allergy
Benefits
-
Promotes rapid wound closure with reduced maceration, leakage, and odour
-
Helps reduce bacterial load (in vitro)
-
Provides longer wear time and fewer dressing changes
-
Easy to apply, remove in one piece, available in various sizes/shapes
-
Maintains moist wound interface for optimal healing
-
Prevents trauma by minimising tissue adherence → less pain on removal
-
Cost-effective, convenient wound management
Precautions
-
External use only
-
Not compatible with oxidising agents (e.g., EUSOL), hydrogen peroxide, oil-based products (e.g., petrolatum), or some topical antimicrobials
-
Not intended for infected wounds (but may be used as adjunct under clinical protocol)
-
Not suitable for cavity wounds (may be used as a secondary cover)
-
May cause redness/irritation in fragile skin if exudate remains in contact too long
-
Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels (EEG/ECG)
-
May cause warming during MRI scans
-
Use caution in patients with:
-
Hepatic or renal impairment
-
G6PD deficiency
-
-
May alter systemic drug effects (e.g., oral hypoglycaemics, phenytoin) → monitor levels if necessary
