Sharpsguard Yellow Sharps Bin

Sharpsguard yellow sharps bins are designed for the safe disposal of used sharps that have been contaminated with medicinal products, excluding cytotoxic or cytostatic medicines. They are commonly used for needles, syringes, pen needles and lancets used for injectable medicines.

Suitable for patients using insulin, weight-management injections and other routine injectable medicines, unless the medicine is cytotoxic or cytostatic.

The rigid container helps reduce the risk of needlestick injury and supports safe handling of sharps waste at home, in clinics or healthcare settings.

Do not overfill. Follow the fill line on the container and arrange disposal according to your local council, healthcare provider or clinical waste collection service.

Sharpsguard Orange Sharps Bin

Sharpsguard orange sharps bins are designed for the safe disposal of sharps that are not contaminated with medicinal products. They are commonly used for non-medicinal sharps waste, such as lancets or sharps used for blood testing, where no medicine residue is present.

The container provides a secure, puncture-resistant way to collect used sharps and helps reduce the risk of accidental sharps injuries.

Do not use an orange sharps bin for sharps contaminated with medicines. For needles or syringes used to administer medicines, a yellow sharps bin is usually required. For cytotoxic or cytostatic medicines, use a purple sharps bin.

Sharpsguard Purple Sharps Bin

Sharpsguard purple sharps bins are designed for the safe disposal of sharps contaminated with cytotoxic or cytostatic medicines. These may include needles, syringes or other sharps used with certain chemotherapy, hormone, fertility or other specialist medicines.

The purple colour coding helps separate cytotoxic and cytostatic sharps waste from other healthcare waste streams. This waste requires specialist disposal and should not be mixed with standard yellow or orange sharps waste.

Use only where cytotoxic or cytostatic medicine waste is involved. Follow the instructions from your healthcare provider, clinic or waste collection service.
