To book a private consultation, please click “Book Private Consultation” at the bottom of the condition of your choice.

Important Information

  • If your condition is not suitable for pharmacy treatment, you will be referred to your GP or urgent care.
Payment Information

NHS Pharmacy First

When treatment is provided under the NHS Pharmacy First service, it is treated in the same way as a normal NHS prescription.

The consulation is for free.
Some patients do not pay for NHS prescriptions, for example:

  • Children under 16
  • Adults aged 65 and over
  • Patients who are exempt under NHS rules (e.g. certain medical conditions, pregnancy, benefits)

If you normally pay for NHS prescriptions, you will pay the standard NHS prescription charge, which is currently £9.90 per item.

Private Pharmacist Prescribing

When a condition is not covered by Pharmacy First, or NHS criteria are not met, treatment may be provided through a private consultation with our pharmacist independent prescriber.

Private prescribing involves:

  • A clinical assessment fee of £20
  • If a prescription-only medicine is clinically appropriate and prescribed, the cost of the medication will be charged separately. This is typically £10–£15, depending on the medicine supplied.
  • All fees will be clearly explained before proceeding

Why there is a difference:

Pharmacy First is an NHS-funded service, while private prescribing is not funded by the NHS and reflects the time, expertise, and responsibility involved in a private clinical assessment.
