Coloplast SenSura® Soft Seal Multichamber 1-Piece Urostomy Pouches – Maxi – Box of 10
Coloplast SenSura® Soft Seal Multichamber is a one-piece convex urostomy pouch designed for people with a urinary stoma that requires moderate support to protrude into the pouch.
The Soft Seal design incorporates shallow/light convexity, making it particularly suitable for stomas that are flush with the skin, mildly retracted or positioned within dips, folds or uneven abdominal contours.
As a one-piece system, the urostomy pouch and adhesive skin barrier are permanently joined. The entire appliance is therefore removed and replaced at each pouch change.
The pouch also incorporates Coloplast's Multichamber design, which distributes urine throughout several internal chambers. This helps maintain a flatter pouch profile, reduce movement of urine within the pouch and minimise splashing noise.

Soft Seal convexity
SenSura® Soft Seal incorporates shallow convexity.
Convexity applies gentle pressure around the stoma to help the stoma protrude more effectively into the pouch and improve the seal between the appliance and surrounding skin.
Coloplast describes Soft Seal as suitable for stomas with an opening level with the skin that require moderate help to protrude, as well as dipped areas where a gentle curve is required to achieve a secure fit.
Convex appliances should be selected following an appropriate stoma assessment, particularly if convexity has not previously been used.
SenSura® double-layer adhesive
The SenSura® adhesive incorporates two functional layers.
The protection layer helps protect the skin from contact with stoma output.
The skin-care layer helps maintain healthy peristomal skin by absorbing excess moisture.
The flexible adhesive is designed to conform to normal body movement while maintaining secure contact with the skin.
Multichamber pouch design
Unlike a conventional single-compartment urine pouch, the SenSura® Multichamber pouch is divided internally into several chambers.
These chambers help:
-
Distribute urine more evenly throughout the pouch
-
Reduce urine collecting heavily at the bottom
-
Help the pouch remain flatter against the body
-
Reduce movement of urine within the pouch
-
Reduce splashing sounds
-
Improve discretion and comfort during wear
Non-return valve
The integrated non-return valve helps prevent urine inside the pouch from flowing back towards the stoma.
This helps keep collected urine separated from the stoma and surrounding skin.
Urostomy outlet
The pouch has a drainable outlet designed for repeated emptying throughout the day.
The outlet can be tucked away when not in use, helping prevent it rubbing against the leg and improving comfort and discretion.
The pouch can also be connected to an appropriate overnight urine drainage system using the correct compatible connector.
Soft Cover or Clear?
11811 and 11812 – Soft Cover
The opaque pouch provides greater discretion and incorporates Coloplast's soft, water-repellent backing fabric.
11814 and 11815 – Clear
The transparent pouch allows the stoma, urine and pouch contents to remain visible. This may be useful when monitoring the stoma or where a clear appliance is preferred.
Choosing the correct size:
The opening of the adhesive barrier must be cut to fit the individual stoma.
Two cut-to-fit ranges are available:
-
15–33mm
-
15–43mm
Select a variant whose cutting range accommodates the measured stoma.
The opening should fit closely around the stoma without touching or constricting it.
An opening that is too large may expose the surrounding skin to urine and increase the risk of leakage or skin irritation.
Directions:
Measure the stoma using an appropriate stoma measuring guide.
Select either the 15–33mm or 15–43mm cut-to-fit variant.
Trace the required size and shape onto the cutting guide on the adhesive.
Carefully cut the opening to fit the stoma.
Clean the skin around the urostomy according to the normal stoma-care routine and ensure it is appropriately dry.
Ensure the drainage outlet is securely closed before applying the pouch.
Remove the protective backing from the adhesive.
Centre the opening carefully over the stoma.
Apply the adhesive around the stoma and press gently but firmly against the skin, smoothing the baseplate outward to establish secure contact.
Check the complete adhesive area for folds or gaps.
Emptying the pouch:
Empty the pouch before it becomes excessively full or heavy.
Hold the outlet over a toilet or suitable receptacle.
Open the drainage outlet according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Allow the urine to drain completely.
Wipe the end of the outlet if necessary.
Close the outlet securely after emptying.
The outlet may then be tucked back into its storage position.
