Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film is an alcohol-free, fast-drying liquid skin barrier that forms a transparent, breathable and waterproof protective film over the skin.

The flexible barrier helps protect intact or damaged skin from body fluids, moisture, friction, shear and repeated adhesive application and removal. It is particularly useful for protecting peristomal, periwound and peritube skin, as well as areas at risk of moisture-associated skin damage.

The convenient 28ml pump spray allows an even layer to be applied over larger areas of skin without touching the affected area.

Directions:

Ensure the skin is clean and dry before application.

Hold the spray approximately 10–15cm (4–6 inches) from the skin.

Apply a smooth, uniform coating over the entire area requiring protection.

If an area has been missed, allow the first application to dry before applying additional product to that area.

Allow Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film to dry completely for approximately 30 seconds before applying a dressing, stoma pouch, tape, continence product or other adhesive medical device.

Where skin folds or skin-to-skin contact are present, keep the surfaces separated until the film has completely dried.

Reapply according to clinical requirements, the manufacturer's instructions and the frequency of dressing or appliance changes.

Important information:

• For external use only

• Avoid contact with the eyes

• Do not apply directly into deep wounds

• Allow the film to dry completely before covering the treated area

• Excessive or repeated layering is unnecessary and may make the film feel stiff

• Do not apply creams, ointments or other barrier products underneath Cavilon unless specifically advised, as they may reduce its effectiveness

• Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to any of the ingredients

• Stop use and seek advice if significant irritation or an unexpected skin reaction develops

• Persistent skin breakdown, infection, leakage or moisture-associated damage should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional

• The 28ml spray should not be used for I.V. catheter-site protection; Solventum recommends the appropriate applicator presentation for that indication
