SMA LF Lactose Free Infant Milk is a nutritionally complete formula specially designed for babies and young children with lactose intolerance, including temporary lactose intolerance that may occur following gastroenteritis. It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition from birth to 6 months and can be used alongside solid foods from 6 to 12 months.

How to prepare:
Wash your hands and sterilise all feeding equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Boil fresh tap water and allow it to cool for no more than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
Pour the required amount of cooled, freshly boiled water into a sterilised bottle. Using only the scoop provided, add the correct number of level scoops.
Use 1 level scoop (4.4g) for every 30ml of water.
Fit the sterilised teat and cap and shake vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved. Cool the bottle under cold running water until lukewarm and test the temperature before feeding.
Important information:
Breastfeeding is best for babies. SMA LF Lactose Free Infant Milk should be used following advice from a healthcare professional.
SMA LF is not suitable for babies with cow's milk protein allergy, as it still contains milk proteins. It is also unsuitable for infants with galactosaemia or those who require a galactose-free diet.
Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Prepare each feed carefully as required and discard any unfinished feed as soon as possible.
Do not add extra powder or water and do not alter the formula unless medically advised. Do not heat feeds in a microwave, as hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
Once opened, store the tin in a cool, dry place and use within 4 weeks.
