ICHTHOPASTE® is a medicated paste bandage containing zinc oxide and ichthammol, designed to soothe irritated skin and support the management of venous leg ulcers, varicose eczema and chronic dermatitis.
The open-weave bandage can be used as a primary contact layer underneath an appropriate compression system where clinically indicated.
Key features:
- Contains 6.32% zinc oxide
- Contains 2% ichthammol
- Helps soothe irritated and itchy skin
- Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties
- Suitable for wet ulcers and sensitive surrounding skin
- Can be used underneath compression therapy
- Non-elastic – does not provide therapeutic compression
- Can remain in place for up to 7 days
- Single use
Suitable for:
- Venous leg ulcers
- Varicose eczema
- Chronic eczema
- Dermatitis
- Irritated skin associated with leg ulceration
Important information:
Do not use if allergic or sensitive to zinc oxide, ichthammol or any other ingredient. ICHTHOPASTE® is not recommended for diabetic foot ulcers.
Where compression therapy is required, appropriate vascular assessment should be carried out before treatment.
