Key features:

  • Continuous glucose monitoring without routine finger-prick testing
  • Provides glucose readings every minute when used with a compatible smartphone and FreeStyle LibreLink app
  • Shows current glucose level, trend arrow and glucose history
  • Up to 15 days of sensor wear
  • 60-minute warm-up period
  • Optional high and low glucose alarms
  • Compatible with the current FreeStyle LibreLink app
  • Compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader
  • Indicated for adults and children aged 2 years and over
  • Suitable for people with diabetes, including pregnant women
  • No routine finger-prick calibration required
  • Water resistant for bathing, showering, swimming and exercise
  • May be submerged in up to 1 metre of water for a maximum of 30 minutes
  • Single-use sensor

How to use:

Select an appropriate site on the back of the upper arm. Clean and thoroughly dry the skin before application.

Prepare the sensor and applicator according to the manufacturer's instructions and press the applicator firmly against the selected site to apply the sensor.

Start the new sensor using either a compatible smartphone with the FreeStyle LibreLink app or a FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader.

After the 60-minute warm-up period, the sensor can be used to monitor glucose levels. When used with a compatible smartphone, glucose readings are automatically sent to the app every minute while the phone and sensor remain connected and within range.

Important information:

If the sensor is started using the FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader, real-time glucose readings will not automatically appear on the FreeStyle LibreLink app even if the app is subsequently used as a second device. In this situation, the sensor must be scanned to obtain readings. Glucose alarms are received only on the device used to start the sensor.

Finger-prick blood glucose testing may still be required if sensor readings or alarms do not match your symptoms or expectations.

For children aged 2–12 years, use of the system must be supervised and managed by a caregiver aged at least 18 years.

Check smartphone and operating-system compatibility before purchasing if you intend to use the FreeStyle LibreLink app.

Do not reuse the sensor. Replace it after a maximum of 15 days or earlier if instructed by the system.
