FreeStyle Optium Blood Glucose Test Strips – Pack of 50

FreeStyle Optium Blood Glucose Test Strips are designed for self-monitoring of blood glucose using compatible Abbott FreeStyle meters and readers. Each strip is individually foil-wrapped to protect it from air and moisture and requires only a small blood sample.

How to use:
Wash and thoroughly dry your hands before testing.
Open an individual foil packet and remove the test strip. Insert the strip into the compatible meter or reader according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Use a compatible lancing device to obtain a small drop of blood. Apply the blood to the white sample area at the end of the strip.
The test begins when sufficient blood has been detected. The blood glucose result is displayed after approximately 5 seconds. If the first sample is insufficient, additional blood can be applied within 5 seconds.
Dispose of the used strip after testing.
Important information:
For single use only. Never reuse a test strip.
Use the strip immediately after opening its foil packet. Do not use a strip if the foil is punctured or torn, or if the strip is wet, bent, scratched or otherwise damaged.
Store between 4–30°C and protect from excessive heat and moisture. Do not use after the expiry date.
If a blood glucose result does not match how you feel or appears unexpected, repeat the test with a new strip and follow your diabetes management plan or seek advice from your healthcare professional.
