Volumatic Paediatric Spacer Device
The Volumatic Paediatric Spacer Device is a large-volume spacer designed to help babies and small infants receive inhaled medicines effectively. It includes a soft face mask that fits gently over the child's nose and mouth, helping deliver medication from a compatible pressurised metered-dose inhaler.

How to use:
Fit the two halves of the Volumatic together and attach the face mask securely to the mouthpiece.
Shake the prescribed inhaler and insert it firmly into the opposite end of the spacer. Place the face mask gently over the child's nose and mouth, ensuring a comfortable seal.
Press the inhaler once to release one puff into the spacer. Keep the mask in place while the child breathes normally for at least 10 seconds and, where possible, up to 30 seconds.
Give only one puff at a time. If another puff is required, wait approximately 30 seconds, shake the inhaler again and repeat.
Cleaning instructions:
Clean the spacer and face mask before first use and at least twice a week during normal daily use.
Separate the two halves of the spacer and remove the face mask. Do not dismantle the valve.
Wash the spacer and mask in warm water containing mild detergent or a suitable baby-bottle sterilising solution.
Rinse the face mask thoroughly, but do not rinse the spacer halves after washing, as this can increase static inside the chamber.
Leave all parts to air dry completely at room temperature. Do not rub the inside of the spacer dry with a cloth and do not use heat to speed drying.

Use only with compatible GSK inhalers as prescribed by a doctor or other healthcare professional.
Do not allow children to play with the spacer. Inspect the device and valve regularly and replace it if damaged or if the valve no longer functions correctly.
With normal daily use, the spacer should generally be replaced after 12 months and the face mask after 6 months.
