Optrex Bacterial Conjunctivitis Eye Ointment contains chloramphenicol, an antibiotic used to treat acute bacterial conjunctivitis.
Suitable for:
Adults and children aged 2 years and over.
How to use:
Apply approximately 1 cm of ointment inside the lower eyelid of each affected eye. Use three or four times daily if using the ointment alone, or at bedtime if antibiotic eye drops are used during the day. Continue treatment for five days.
Important information:
This is a Pharmacy Medicine and requires a suitability assessment. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment. Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve within 48 hours.
