Fresubin Thickened Level 2 is a high-energy, high-protein, pre-thickened oral nutritional supplement for the dietary management of people with, or at risk of, disease-related malnutrition, particularly those with dysphagia or increased energy and protein requirements. It has an IDDSI Level 2 – Mildly Thick consistency and is ready to drink.

Ingredients and allergens:

Fresubin Thickened contains nutrients including milk protein, vegetable oils such as rapeseed and sunflower oil, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Contains milk and soya.

It is lactose free and gluten free, but is not suitable for anyone who needs to completely avoid milk protein.

How to use:

Fresubin Thickened Level 2 is ready to drink.

Shake gently before use and serve at room temperature. This is important to help maintain the correct IDDSI Level 2 consistency.

Drink slowly and follow the amount recommended by your dietitian, speech and language therapist, doctor or other healthcare professional.

Manufacturer guidance for supplementary nutrition is generally:

• 2–3 bottles daily
• Provides 600–900 kcal per day

Do not heat, boil, freeze or add other foods, fluids or flavourings unless specifically advised, as this may alter the consistency and make it unsuitable for the prescribed swallowing level.

Important information:

Fresubin Thickened Level 2 is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and must only be used under medical supervision.

It is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

Not suitable for:

• Children under 3 years
• People with galactosaemia
• Situations where enteral nutrition is not permitted

Use with caution in children under 6 years.

Ensure adequate fluid intake as advised by a healthcare professional.

Store in a cool place below 25°C. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 24 hours. If refrigerated, allow the product to return to room temperature before serving to help ensure it remains at the correct IDDSI consistency.
