Nutilis Clear is a xanthan gum-based food and fluid thickener for the dietary management of people with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). It is designed to modify the consistency of drinks and foods while helping to maintain their normal appearance, taste and smell.
Nutilis Clear has amylase-resistant properties, helping the thickened consistency remain stable in the mouth during swallowing. It can be used to prepare different consistency levels according to the IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) framework.

Recommended dosage for 200ml liquid:
For water, fruit juice, tea, coffee and milk, the manufacturer's general IDDSI guide is:
- IDDSI Level 1 – Slightly Thick: 1 scoop / 1.25g
- IDDSI Level 2 – Mildly Thick: 2 scoops / 2.5g
- IDDSI Level 3 – Moderately Thick: 3 scoops / 3.75g
- IDDSI Level 4 – Extremely Thick: 7 scoops / 8.75g
1 level scoop = approximately 1.25g.
The amount and standing time required can vary depending on the type, temperature and original consistency of the drink.

How to use:
