ConvaTec Urihesive Strips are double-sided, mouldable Stomahesive adhesive strips designed to help fill uneven skin surfaces and provide additional protection next to a stoma, fistula or wound.

The strips can be shaped and positioned where required to help fill dips, folds, creases or irregular contours, creating a more even surface for application of an appliance or dressing.

Directions:

Ensure the surrounding skin is appropriately clean and dry before application.

Remove the required amount of Urihesive Strip from its backing.

Gently mould, shape or position the adhesive strip to fill the uneven area, crease or depression.

Apply the strip to the required area next to the stoma, fistula or wound.

Smooth it into place to create as even a surface as possible.

Apply the compatible stoma appliance, dressing or other medical device according to its manufacturer's instructions.

Replace the strip when the appliance or dressing is changed, or according to advice from your healthcare professional.

• Monitor the surrounding skin for redness, soreness, breakdown or persistent leakage

• Persistent leakage around a stoma may indicate that the appliance fit requires reassessment

• The strips are intended as a filler and protective adhesive accessory and are not a substitute for appropriate wound or stoma assessment
