Positioning the leg bag

Directions:

Connect the bag securely to the urinary catheter or compatible urinary sheath.

Arrange the 30cm inlet tube so that it is free from kinks, twisting and excessive tension.

When used with a urinary catheter, position the drainage bag below bladder level.

Check that urine is draining freely into the bag.

Emptying the bag:

Empty the bag regularly and before it becomes excessively full.

Wash your hands.

Position the drainage outlet over a toilet or suitable receptacle.

Open the clamp outlet.

Allow the urine to drain from the bag.
