Directions:

Wash and dry your hands before handling the drainage system.

Position the leg bag below the level of the bladder to support effective urine drainage.

Secure the bag comfortably to the thigh or lower leg using appropriate leg bag straps or a compatible leg bag holder.

Connect the Prosys® universal connector securely to the catheter or urinary sheath.

Ensure that the 30cm inlet tubing is not kinked, twisted or compressed.

Allow sufficient tubing movement so that normal activity does not place excessive tension on the catheter or sheath.

Check that urine is draining freely into the bag.

Emptying the bag:

Empty the leg bag regularly and before it becomes excessively full or heavy.

Position the drainage outlet over a toilet or suitable receptacle.

Operate the slide tap according to the manufacturer's instructions and allow the urine to drain.

Avoid allowing the outlet to touch the toilet or other surfaces.

Close the tap securely after emptying.

Wash your hands after handling the drainage system.

• Persistent leakage, poor drainage or catheter problems should be discussed with a healthcare professional
