Salts Mouldable Seals are highly absorbent, mouldable hydrocolloid stoma seals designed to help create a secure, customised seal around the stoma and reduce the risk of leakage underneath the stoma appliance.

The seals can be stretched, broken, rolled or layered to fit closely around the stoma or to fill dips, creases and uneven areas of skin. As they absorb moisture, they swell around the stoma to help maintain a close fit and protect vulnerable peristomal skin from contact with stoma output.

Directions:

Ensure the skin around the stoma is appropriately clean and dry, where possible.

Remove the protective backing from the seal.

Gently stretch and mould the seal to the required shape and size so that it fits closely around the base of the stoma.

The seal can be broken, rolled, folded or layered where required to fill dips, creases or uneven areas.

Position the moulded seal around the stoma or directly onto the adhesive surface of the stoma appliance according to your usual stoma-care technique.

Apply the stoma pouch or baseplate over the seal and press gently into place to establish a secure fit.

Replace the seal whenever the stoma appliance is changed.
