Calceos Chewable Tablets contain calcium and vitamin D3 and are used to correct calcium and vitamin D deficiency in older adults. They may also be used alongside specific treatments for osteoporosis in people at increased risk of combined calcium and vitamin D deficiency.

Active ingredients:
Each chewable tablet contains:
- Calcium Carbonate: 1,250mg
- Equivalent to Elemental Calcium: 500mg
- Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol): 400IU
- Equivalent to Vitamin D3: 10 micrograms
How to take:
Adults: Take 1 tablet twice daily.
Chew the tablet and drink a glass of water.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Important information:
Calceos is intended for adults. Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
Do not take Calceos if you have high calcium levels in your blood or urine, kidney stones or calcium deposits in the kidneys, excessive vitamin D levels or severe kidney impairment.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to peanuts or soya, as it contains hydrogenated soya bean oil.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking additional calcium or vitamin D supplements.
Calcium can interfere with the absorption of several medicines, including bisphosphonates, some antibiotics, iron, zinc and thyroid medicines. These medicines generally need to be taken separately from Calceos. Ask your pharmacist for advice if you take other medicines.
Possible side effects include constipation, wind, nausea, abdominal discomfort and diarrhoea. Excessive calcium or vitamin D intake may cause high calcium levels in the blood or urine.
The tablets contain sorbitol, sucrose and soya bean oil.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use.
