Emerres contains levonorgestrel and is an emergency contraceptive used following unprotected sex or contraceptive failure.

How to take:
Take one tablet as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours after unprotected sex. If vomiting occurs within three hours of taking the tablet, another tablet should be taken.

Important information:
Emergency contraception does not prevent pregnancy in every case and does not provide ongoing contraception. Use a barrier method until your next period. If your period is more than five days late, unusually light or heavy, or pregnancy is suspected, take a pregnancy test and seek medical advice.

Some medicines, particularly enzyme-inducing medicines used within the previous four weeks, can reduce the effectiveness of levonorgestrel and require alternative emergency contraception or a different dose.

Always read the Patient Information Leaflet before use.
