Hirudoid is a topical heparinoid treatment used for the treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis and for the soothing relief of superficial bruising and haematoma.
Both Hirudoid Cream and Hirudoid Gel contain Heparinoid 0.3% w/w, equivalent to 25,000 units per 100g. The cream provides a traditional moisturising formulation, while the gel is a lighter preparation particularly suited when a cooling effect and rapid action are preferred.

Directions:
For adults, elderly people and children over 5 years of age:
Apply approximately 5–15cm (2–6 inches) of the product to the affected area, up to 4 times daily.
Hirudoid Cream:
Apply to the affected area and gently massage into the skin.
Hirudoid Gel:
Apply as a thin layer to the affected area. The gel is particularly suitable where a cooling effect is preferred.
Wash your hands after application unless the hands are the area being treated.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Fire hazard: clothing, bedding, dressings and other fabrics that have been in contact with this product can burn more easily

Do not smoke or go near naked flames while using this product

Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but may not completely remove the fire risk
