Psoriderm™ Scalp Lotion Shampoo is a medicated coal tar shampoo for the treatment of scalp psoriasis. It contains distilled coal tar 2.5% w/v, which helps relieve itching and reduce the excessive scaling associated with psoriasis.

Suitable for:

• Scalp psoriasis

• Raised, red and scaly psoriatic patches of the scalp

Directions:

• Wet the hair thoroughly

• Apply a small amount of shampoo to the scalp

• Massage gently with the fingertips to produce a rich lather

• Leave on for a few minutes

• Remove as much lather as possible with the hands, then rinse thoroughly

• Repeat if necessary

The shampoo can be used daily if required, reducing use to once or twice a week as the condition improves. Occasional use may then be needed to help maintain control.

Important information:

• Do not use on acute, sore or pustular psoriasis

• Do not use on infected skin

• Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and inside of the nose

• Stop using if significant skin irritation, acne-like eruptions or photosensitivity occur

• Coal tar preparations may occasionally cause temporary staining of skin, hair or fabrics

• If your scalp has not improved after 4 weeks, or becomes worse, stop treatment and seek medical advice
