Hydrocortisone Ointment 1% is a mild topical corticosteroid used for the short-term treatment of inflamed, itchy and irritated skin. It helps reduce redness, swelling, itching and inflammation associated with conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.

Suitable for:

  • Mild to moderate eczema

Directions:

Apply a small amount sparingly to the affected area once or twice daily.

Do not normally use for longer than 7 days unless advised by a doctor.

Important information:

  • For external use only

  • Do not use on children under 10 years without medical supervision

  • Do not use on the eyes, face or genital/anal area unless specifically advised by a doctor

  • Do not use on acne, rosacea or around the mouth

  • Do not use on untreated bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections

  • Do not apply to broken, ulcerated or infected skin

  • Avoid prolonged use or application over large areas

  • Do not cover with airtight dressings unless advised by a healthcare professional

  • Stop treatment and seek advice if the condition worsens or has not improved after 7 days
