Accrete D3 One a Day Chewable Tablets contain calcium and vitamin D3. They are used to prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency in older adults and may also be used alongside specific osteoporosis treatments in people at risk of calcium and vitamin D deficiency.

Active ingredients:
Each chewable tablet contains:
- Calcium: 1,000mg, provided as calcium carbonate
- Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol): 22 micrograms, equivalent to 880 IU
How to take:
Adults and elderly: Chew and swallow 1 tablet once daily.
The tablet may be taken at any time, with or without food.
Do not exceed the recommended dose unless specifically advised by a doctor.
Important information:
Not suitable for children or adolescents under 18 years.
Do not take Accrete D3 if you have high levels of calcium in your blood or urine, kidney stones, calcium deposits in the kidneys, excessive vitamin D levels or severe kidney impairment.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have kidney problems, sarcoidosis, osteoporosis associated with prolonged immobility, or are already taking calcium or vitamin D supplements.
Calcium can affect the absorption of several medicines, including some antibiotics, bisphosphonates, thyroid medicines, iron and zinc supplements. These may need to be taken at a different time of day. Check with your pharmacist if you take other medicines.
The tablets contain aspartame, which is a source of phenylalanine and may be unsuitable for people with phenylketonuria. They also contain sorbitol, isomalt and a small amount of sucrose.
Possible side effects can include nausea, abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence or skin reactions. Excessive calcium or vitamin D intake can cause high calcium levels.
If you are pregnant, seek medical advice before use. The licensed product information states that during pregnancy the dose should not exceed half a tablet daily.
