Important information:
Do not take Calcichew-D3 if you have high calcium levels in your blood or urine, kidney stones, excessive vitamin D levels or severe kidney impairment.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have kidney problems, sarcoidosis, are immobilised with osteoporosis, or are already taking other calcium or vitamin D products.

Calcium can affect the absorption of several medicines. Levothyroxine should be separated from calcium by at least 4 hours. Bisphosphonates should generally be taken at least 1 hour before Calcichew-D3. Iron and zinc should be separated by at least 2 hours, and some antibiotics also require several hours between doses.

Possible side effects include constipation, indigestion, wind, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhoea. Excessive calcium or vitamin D intake can cause high calcium levels in the blood or urine.

The tablets contain isomalt and sucrose and may not be suitable for people with certain rare hereditary sugar-intolerance disorders.

Calcichew-D3 can be used during pregnancy when calcium and vitamin D supplementation is required, but excessive intake should be avoided. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist regarding the appropriate dose.
