Forceval Capsules are a comprehensive multivitamin and mineral medicine containing 24 essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements for use when dietary intake or absorption of micronutrients is inadequate.
Forceval is used as a therapeutic nutritional supplement in people whose normal diet does not provide sufficient vitamins and minerals, including during recovery from illness or surgery, in malabsorption conditions and alongside certain restricted or specialised diets.

Forceval may be used as a therapeutic nutritional supplement where vitamin and mineral intake or absorption is inadequate, including:
- Poor or inadequate dietary intake

- Short bowel syndrome
- Fistulae

How to take:
For adults and elderly people:
- Take 1 capsule once daily
- Preferably take approximately 1 hour after a meal
- Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water
Do not take Forceval on an empty stomach.
Do not exceed the recommended dose unless specifically instructed by a doctor.
Children:
- Suitable from 12 years of age
- Do not give to children under 12 years

- Hypercalcaemia – high calcium levels in the blood
- Haemochromatosis
- Another iron-storage disorder
- An allergy to peanuts
- An allergy to soya
- An allergy to any of the other ingredients
Speak to a doctor, pharmacist or dietitian before taking Forceval if you:
- Have a thyroid disorder
- Are pregnant or planning a pregnancy
- Are breastfeeding
- Are a current smoker
- Have previously been significantly exposed to asbestos
Forceval contains beta-carotene. High-dose beta-carotene supplementation has been associated with an increased risk of lung cancer in smokers and people with previous asbestos exposure. Forceval contains a substantially lower dose than those used in the studies concerned, but people in these groups should discuss the potential risks and benefits with a healthcare professional before use.
Do not combine with other vitamin or mineral supplements unless advised by a healthcare professional.
This includes products containing Vitamin A, as excessive intake of certain vitamins and minerals can be harmful.
Interactions with other medicines:
Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Forceval if you use:
- Phenytoin – folic acid may reduce phenytoin concentrations
- Tetracycline antibiotics, including doxycycline and minocycline – iron and zinc may reduce their absorption
If you regularly take prescription medicines, tell your pharmacist before starting Forceval.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Forceval may be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding when recommended by a doctor or other appropriate healthcare professional.
Because Forceval contains Vitamin A, seek medical advice before taking it during pregnancy.
Do not combine it with other Vitamin A-containing supplements unless specifically advised.
