Calcichew-D3 Forte Chewable Tablets contain calcium and vitamin D3 to help prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency. They may also be used alongside specific osteoporosis treatments where additional calcium and vitamin D are required.

Active ingredients:
Each chewable tablet contains:
- Calcium Carbonate: 1,250mg
- Equivalent to Elemental Calcium: 500mg
- Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol): 400IU
- Equivalent to Vitamin D3: 10 micrograms
Other ingredients:
Xylitol, Povidone, Isomalt, Lemon Flavouring, Fatty Acid Mono- and Diglycerides, Sucralose, Magnesium Stearate, Modified Maize Starch, Medium-Chain Triglycerides, Sodium Ascorbate, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica, Sucrose and Tocopherol.
How to take:
Adults and elderly: Take 1 tablet twice daily.
The tablets should be chewed or sucked.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Important information:
Not intended for use in children.
Do not take Calcichew-D3 Forte if you have high calcium levels in your blood or urine, kidney stones, excessive vitamin D levels or severe kidney impairment.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have kidney problems, sarcoidosis, are immobilised with osteoporosis, or are already taking other calcium or vitamin D supplements.
Calcium can affect the absorption of several medicines, including levothyroxine, bisphosphonates, iron, zinc and some antibiotics. These medicines may need to be taken several hours apart from Calcichew-D3 Forte. Check with your pharmacist if you take other medicines.
Possible side effects include constipation, indigestion, wind, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhoea.
The tablets contain isomalt and sucrose and may not be suitable for people with certain rare hereditary sugar-intolerance disorders.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to a doctor or pharmacist about your total calcium and vitamin D intake.
