Directions:

This catheter should be inserted and managed by an appropriately trained healthcare professional, or according to an individual catheter-care plan provided by a healthcare professional.

Use an appropriate aseptic catheterisation technique and follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.

Insert the catheter gently until correct positioning within the bladder has been established.

The supplied pre-filled syringe contains 10ml sterile water for inflation of the retention balloon.

Inflate the balloon only after correct catheter placement has been confirmed.

Connect the catheter to an appropriate urine drainage bag or catheter valve according to the patient's clinical requirements.

The catheter may remain in place for up to 90 days, where clinically appropriate. The actual replacement interval should be determined according to the patient's individual clinical needs and catheter-care plan.

• Do not reuse or resterilise
• Catheter insertion should be carried out by an appropriately trained person
• Always use the catheter type and size recommended for the patient
• Do not use if the sterile packaging is damaged or already open
• Do not force the catheter if significant resistance is encountered during insertion
• Inflate the retention balloon only after correct placement in the bladder has been confirmed
• Do not exceed the specified 10ml balloon volume
• Ensure the balloon is completely deflated before catheter removal
• Maintain a closed urinary drainage system wherever possible
• Ensure drainage tubing remains free from kinks and that the drainage bag is positioned appropriately
• Monitor for catheter blockage, bypassing, leakage, pain or signs of infection
• Seek medical advice if urine drainage significantly reduces or stops, or if persistent pain, bleeding, fever or other symptoms of urinary infection develop
• Catheter replacement frequency should follow the individual patient's clinical care plan
