Salts Aloe Rings are thin, flexible hydrocolloid stoma rings infused with Aloe Vera extracts, designed to provide an additional protective layer between the stoma appliance and the surrounding skin.

The rings can be gently stretched to accommodate the size and shape of the stoma, including moderately oval stomas, while retaining their shape to provide a secure and comfortable fit. The Aloe Vera-containing hydrocolloid may help soothe, moisturise and protect peristomal skin.

Select the ring size that most closely matches the individual stoma size and appliance requirements.

Directions:

Ensure the skin around the stoma is clean and dry before application.

Select the appropriate ring size.

Remove the protective backing from the ring.

If required, gently stretch or reshape the ring so that it fits closely around the base of the stoma.

Position the ring around the stoma and gently press it into place.

Apply the stoma pouch or baseplate over the ring according to the appliance manufacturer's instructions.

Replace the ring whenever the stoma appliance is changed.

• Stop use if significant skin irritation or an unexpected reaction develops

• Monitor the skin around the stoma regularly for redness, soreness, breakdown or persistent leakage

• Stoma size and shape may change over time, particularly following surgery or changes in body weight

• Re-measure the stoma if the existing ring no longer fits appropriately

• Persistent leakage or peristomal skin damage may indicate that the pouching system requires reassessment

• Seek advice from a Stoma Care Nurse if problems continue despite correct use
