Salts Flange Extender with Aloe is a skin-friendly hydrocolloid stoma accessory designed to provide additional security around the outer edge of a stoma pouch wafer or flange.

The curved extender strips are applied around the edge of the appliance to help prevent lifting and improve security, particularly during movement or where additional reinforcement of the pouch adhesive is required. Each strip is infused with Aloe Vera extracts and designed to be comfortable against the skin.

Directions:

Ensure the skin around the stoma appliance is clean and dry.

Apply the stoma pouch or baseplate according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Remove the protective backing from the Salts Flange Extender.

Position the extender so that it overlaps the outer edge of the wafer or flange and the surrounding skin.

Press gently into place to establish good contact.

Use 1–4 extenders as required around the appliance. Because each extender has a 120° shape, three pieces can be used to provide coverage around the full circumference of many appliances where appropriate.

Replace the flange extenders whenever the stoma appliance is changed or if they become loose or damaged.
