Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film Wipes are sterile, alcohol-free skin barrier wipes that form a transparent, breathable and waterproof protective film over intact or damaged skin.

The barrier helps protect vulnerable skin from body fluids, moisture, friction, shear and repeated medical adhesive application and removal. The 1ml wipe format is particularly convenient for protecting skin around stomas, wounds, tubes and adhesive medical devices.

The film dries rapidly and provides durable protection while allowing the skin underneath to remain visible for ongoing assessment.

Directions:

Clean the skin appropriately and dry thoroughly before application.

Open one individual Cavilon No Sting Barrier Film Wipe.

Gently wipe a uniform coating over the area of skin requiring protection.

If an area has been missed, additional product may be applied after the first layer has dried.

Allow the film to dry completely – approximately 30 seconds – before applying a dressing, stoma pouch, tape or other adhesive medical device.

When used underneath an adhesive dressing or appliance, reapply as appropriate when the dressing or appliance is changed.

For peristomal use, apply according to the individual stoma-care routine and advice from a Stoma Care Nurse where appropriate.

• Do not apply directly into deep wounds

• Allow the product to dry fully before covering the area with an adhesive dressing or appliance

• Applying excessive layers is unnecessary and may increase drying time

• Stop use if significant irritation or an unexpected skin reaction develops

• Persistent skin breakdown, leakage or moisture-associated damage should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional
