It is recommended in the elderly for the prevention and treatment of deficiency of calcium and vitamin D3 that are essential for bone formation and normal bone metabolism. It is also recommended for Vitamin D and calcium supplement as an adjunct to specific osteoporosis treatment of patients who are at risk of vitamin D and calcium deficiency.

Calcium + Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol) Supplement

  • A calcium + vitamin D3 supplement used for the prevention and treatment of calcium/vitamin D deficiency in older adults, and as an adjunct to osteoporosis treatment in people at risk of deficiency.

    Each film-coated tablet contains

    • Calcium 600mg (as calcium carbonate 1500mg)

    • Vitamin D3 400 IU (10 micrograms colecalciferol)

    How to take

    • Adults/elderly: 1 tablet twice daily (morning + evening).

    • Take within 1½ hours of a meal, swallowed with water/juice (don’t chew). Tablet can be broken to make swallowing easier.

    Important (summary)

    • Not intended for under 18s.

    • Contains hydrogenated soya-bean oil (avoid if allergic to soya or peanut) and contains sucrose.

    • Do not use if you have conditions causing high calcium levels, kidney stones/nephrocalcinosis, severe renal impairment, hypervitaminosis D, or allergy to ingredients.

    • Storage: do not store above 25°C; keep in original packaging to protect from moisture.
