Use appropriate aseptic catheterisation technique and follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.
Insert the catheter gently until correct placement within the bladder has been confirmed.
The supplied pre-filled syringe contains 10ml sterile water for inflation of the retention balloon.
Inflate the balloon only after correct catheter positioning has been confirmed.
Connect the catheter to an appropriate urine drainage bag or catheter valve as clinically indicated.
The catheter may remain in place for up to 90 days, where clinically appropriate. The actual replacement interval should be determined according to the patient's individual clinical needs and catheter-care plan.
