Medi-Test Combi 8 Urine Test Strips provide a quick, convenient method of testing urine for eight clinically relevant parameters. They can be used as a screening aid for abnormalities associated with urinary tract conditions, diabetes, kidney function and other metabolic disorders. Urine dipstick results are a screening tool and should not be used alone to make a diagnosis.

Tests for:

• Glucose – may indicate abnormal glucose excretion
• Protein – screening for protein in the urine
• pH – measures urine acidity or alkalinity
• Ketones – detects ketone bodies in the urine
• Blood – detects blood/haemoglobin in the urine
• Nitrite – may indicate the presence of certain bacteria associated with urinary tract infection
• Leukocytes – detects white blood cells, which may be associated with inflammation or urinary tract infection
• Specific Gravity – indicates urine concentration

How to use:

Collect fresh urine in a clean, dry container.

Remove one test strip without touching the reagent pads and close the container immediately.

Completely immerse all of the reagent areas in the urine sample, then remove the strip. Remove excess urine according to the instructions supplied with the product.

Compare each test pad with the corresponding colour scale on the container at the specified reading time.

Most parameters can be evaluated within approximately 30–60 seconds. The leukocyte test should be evaluated at approximately 120 seconds.

Medi-Test Combi 8 strips are intended for in-vitro diagnostic urine testing. Results should be interpreted alongside symptoms, medical history and other clinical information.

Medicines, metabolites, urine composition and other substances may affect test results.

Do not touch the reagent areas of the strips.

Remove only the number of strips required and close the container immediately after use. Protect the strips from sunlight and moisture.

Store in the original container in a dry place at the temperature specified on the packaging and do not use after the stated expiry date. Current Medi-Test manufacturer specifications give a storage range of 4–30°C.

Dispose of used strips appropriately after testing.
