How to use:

Collect a fresh urine sample in a clean, dry container.

Remove one test strip without touching the reagent areas and immediately close the container.

Completely immerse the reagent areas in the urine sample, then remove the strip and remove excess urine as directed in the supplied instructions.

Compare the colour of each reagent pad with the corresponding colour scale on the container at the specified reading time.

Interpret the protein and pH results according to the manufacturer's colour chart.

Medi-Test Protein 2 strips are urine test strips and are not intended for testing blood.

An abnormal protein result does not on its own diagnose kidney disease. Temporary increases in urinary protein can occur for several reasons, and persistent or unexpected results should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

Urine pH can vary according to diet, medicines, hydration and other factors. An abnormal pH result alone does not diagnose a urinary tract infection or other medical condition.

Results should be interpreted alongside symptoms, medical history and any other appropriate investigations.

Do not touch the reagent pads. Keep the container tightly closed and protect the strips from moisture.

Store in the original container at 4–30°C. The manufacturer states a shelf life of approximately 2.5 years from manufacture when stored correctly.

Do not use after the expiry date or if the reagent pads appear damaged or discoloured.
