Coloplast Brava® Elastic Tape Straight is a soft, elastic hydrocolloid stoma baseplate extender designed for square baseplates and straight adhesive edges.

The straight strip is applied over the edge of a stoma baseplate to provide additional security and help prevent the baseplate from lifting or rolling. Its elasticity allows the tape to follow body contours and movement, helping maintain a secure appliance fit while allowing freedom of movement.

The straight format is particularly useful where only a specific section or straight edge of the baseplate requires reinforcement. It can also be used to extend the adhesive area of other Brava® Elastic Tape products.

Directions:

Apply the stoma pouch or baseplate according to the appliance manufacturer's instructions.

Ensure the surrounding skin and outer edge of the baseplate are clean and dry.

Remove the protective backing from one Brava Elastic Tape Straight strip.

Position the tape so that it overlaps both the edge of the baseplate and the surrounding skin.

For square baseplates, position the straight strip along the edge requiring additional support.

The strip may also be positioned over a particular section that is prone to lifting or used to extend the adhesive area of another Brava Elastic Tape.

Gently smooth the tape into place, ensuring good skin contact without folds or excessive tension.

Replace the tape whenever the stoma appliance is changed or sooner if it becomes loose, damaged or soiled.
