Its specially shaped wings provide additional support around areas such as a parastomal bulge or hernia and can also help protect the skin from irritation caused by appliance belt loops.

The elastic hydrocolloid material moves with the body, helping prevent the edges of the baseplate from lifting or rolling while allowing freedom of movement during everyday activities.

Directions:

Apply the stoma pouch or baseplate according to the appliance manufacturer's instructions.

Ensure the surrounding skin and outer edge of the baseplate are clean and dry.

Remove the protective backing from the Brava Elastic Tape Belt.

Position the tape so that it overlaps the outer edge of the baseplate and surrounding skin, with the shaped wings positioned where additional support is required.

Smooth the tape gently into place without stretching it excessively.

Ensure there are no folds or creases.

Where an ostomy belt is being used, position the tape so that the wings help provide protection around the belt-loop area as appropriate.

Replace the tape whenever the stoma appliance is changed or sooner if it becomes loose, damaged or soiled.
