Coloplast Brava® Lubricating Deodorant is a two-in-one ostomy pouch lubricant and odour-reducing deodorant designed for use inside faecal stoma pouches.

Its multi-lubricating effect helps stoma output move towards the bottom of the pouch rather than collecting around the stoma, making the pouch easier to empty and helping reduce pancaking and sticking. At the same time, the deodorising formulation helps mask unpleasant odours during pouch emptying and changing, leaving a light, neutral lotion fragrance.

Directions:

Shake the bottle well before use.

Add approximately 5–10ml of Brava® Lubricating Deodorant into the pouch.

Gently rub the sides of the pouch together to distribute the liquid evenly over the inside surfaces.

Avoid deliberately coating the pouch filter.

For a drainable pouch, the product can be added through either the stoma opening or the drainage outlet.

Apply when fitting a new pouch and repeat after emptying a drainable pouch as required.

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with the product.

• Avoid applying the product directly to the peristomal skin before attaching an adhesive appliance

• If lubricant gets onto the adhesive area or surrounding skin, clean and dry the area before applying a new baseplate

• Do not deliberately apply the product over the pouch filter

• Use only as directed

• Do not use if you have a known sensitivity to any of the product ingredients

• Stop use if an unexpected reaction occurs

• Persistent pancaking, leakage or difficulty managing stoma output may indicate that the pouching system requires reassessment

• Persistent unexplained odour while the pouch is closed may indicate leakage or loss of appliance seal and should not simply be treated with deodorant

• Seek advice from a Stoma Care Nurse if leakage, persistent odour or appliance problems continue
