Dansac Long Ostomy Belt is an adjustable elasticated support belt designed for use with compatible stoma pouches that have belt tabs. It attaches to the belt tabs on the stoma appliance to provide additional security and help keep the pouching system comfortably positioned during everyday activities.

This 100cm beige belt is washable and adjustable, allowing the fit to be adapted to the individual user.

Directions:

Fit the stoma pouch or baseplate according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Attach each end of the Dansac Ostomy Belt securely to the belt tabs on the compatible stoma appliance.

Position the belt comfortably around the waist.

Adjust the length until the appliance feels secure without placing excessive pressure on the stoma or surrounding abdomen.

Check that the belt lies flat and does not twist or interfere with the normal function of the pouch.

Remove the belt before changing the appliance if required.

Wash and care for the belt according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Important information:

• Only use with a stoma appliance that has compatible belt tabs

• The belt should provide gentle support and should not be overtightened

• Excessive tension may cause discomfort or unwanted pressure around the stoma and appliance

• Check the skin regularly for redness, pressure marks or irritation

• Ensure the belt does not restrict drainage into the stoma pouch

• Inspect the belt regularly and replace it if the elastic becomes stretched, damaged or no longer provides adequate support

• Follow the washing and care instructions supplied by Dansac

• This is an appliance fixation belt, not an abdominal or parastomal hernia support garment

• Persistent leakage, discomfort or difficulty maintaining a secure appliance fit should be discussed with a Stoma Care Nurse
