Coloplast® Stoma Paste is a skin filler and sealing paste designed to fill deeper folds, creases, scars and uneven areas around a stoma, helping create a smoother surface for secure application of an ostomy baseplate.

By filling irregular skin contours, the paste helps improve the fit between the skin and the stoma appliance, reducing gaps through which stoma output could travel and helping protect vulnerable peristomal skin from leakage.

Directions:

Clean the skin around the stoma according to the usual stoma-care routine.

Ensure the surrounding skin is clean and completely dry.

Apply a small amount of Coloplast® Stoma Paste to the areas requiring filling, such as folds, creases, scars or depressions.

The paste may be applied directly to the appropriate skin area or to the adhesive side of the ostomy baseplate according to the manufacturer's instructions and individual stoma-care technique.

Use only enough paste to fill the uneven area and create a smoother pouching surface.

Apply the stoma baseplate or pouching system and press gently into position according to the appliance manufacturer's instructions.

At the next appliance change, remove residual paste gently as part of the normal skin-cleansing routine.

Important information:

• Code 2650 contains alcohol

• It should not be confused with Brava® Paste code 12050, which is the alcohol-free alternative

• Because it contains alcohol, stinging may occur when applied to irritated or broken skin

• Primarily a filler and sealant, not an adhesive glue

• Use only the amount necessary to fill uneven areas

• Do not apply directly into the stoma

• Avoid contact with the eyes

• Do not use if there is a known sensitivity to any component of the product

• Persistent leakage, soreness or damaged peristomal skin requires assessment rather than continued use of paste alone

• Recurrent leakage may indicate that the appliance aperture, seal or level of convexity requires reassessment

• Seek advice from a Stoma Care Nurse if peristomal skin problems persist
