Emulsifying Ointment BP is a rich, paraffin-based emollient ointment commonly used to moisturise and protect very dry skin. Its greasy formulation forms an occlusive layer over the skin, helping reduce moisture loss and soften dry, rough or scaly areas.

Contains:

• White Soft Paraffin – 50%

• Liquid Paraffin – 20%

• Emulsifying Wax – 30%

Suitable for:

• Very dry skin

• Dry, rough or scaly skin

• Dry skin associated with conditions such as eczema and dermatitis

• Use as an alternative to ordinary soap when washing dry skin

Important information:

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Emulsifying wax contains sodium lauryl sulfate and cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions such as stinging, burning, itching or redness in some people.

Fire hazard: This product contains paraffin. Keep away from fire, flames and cigarettes. Clothing, bedding and dressings that have been in contact with the ointment can burn more easily, even after washing.

The product may also make skin, baths and shower surfaces slippery.
