Adcal-D3 Chewable Tablets contain calcium and vitamin D3 to help prevent and treat calcium and vitamin D deficiency. They may also be used alongside specific treatments for osteoporosis to help maintain healthy bones.

Active ingredients:
Each chewable tablet contains:
- Calcium Carbonate: 1500mg
- Equivalent to Elemental Calcium: 600mg
- Vitamin D3 (Colecalciferol): 400IU
- Equivalent to Vitamin D3: 10 micrograms
Other ingredients:
Xylitol, Modified Maize Starch, Sodium Saccharin, Magnesium Stearate and Tutti-Frutti Flavouring.
The vitamin D3 preparation also contains DL-alpha-Tocopherol, edible fats including Soya Oil, Gelatin, Sucrose and Corn Starch.
How to take:
Adults, elderly people and children over 12 years:
Take 2 tablets daily, preferably one tablet in the morning and one in the evening.
The tablets should be chewed. Do not swallow them whole.
Take exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Important information:
Not recommended for children under 12 years.
Do not take Adcal-D3 if you have high calcium levels in your blood or urine, severe kidney problems, certain kidney stones, excessive vitamin D levels or if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Do not take if you are allergic to peanuts or soya, as the product contains soya oil.
Calcium can reduce the absorption of several medicines, including levothyroxine, bisphosphonates, iron, zinc and some antibiotics. A gap of approximately 4 hours may be required between Adcal-D3 and these medicines. Ask your pharmacist if you take other medication.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking additional calcium or vitamin D supplements.
Possible side effects can include constipation, wind, nausea, stomach discomfort or diarrhoea.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use Adcal-D3 only under medical supervision.
