How to prepare:
Wash hands thoroughly and sterilise all feeding equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Boil 1 litre of fresh water and allow it to cool for 30 minutes, but no longer. Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle.
Using only the scoop supplied, add 1 level scoop (approximately 4.5g) for every 30ml of water.
Fit the sterilised teat and cap and shake vertically and vigorously for approximately 25 seconds until the powder has dissolved. Cool under running water, check the temperature and feed immediately.
Important information:
Breastfeeding is best for babies. Aptamil Pepti 1 is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and should only be used under medical supervision after consideration of all feeding options, including breastfeeding.
Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Prepare each feed immediately before use. Do not boil prepared formula or use a microwave to prepare or warm it.
Some separation of the prepared feed may occur because of the specialised formulation. Shake well before use.
Aptamil Pepti 1 is not suitable for vegetarians or a Halal diet. Nutricia states that it is processed using pork trypsin enzyme, although the enzyme is not present in the final product. The UK product has Kosher approval.
Store the tin in a cool, dry place and do not refrigerate. Once opened, replace the lid after use and use within 4 weeks.
