How to prepare:
Wash hands thoroughly and sterilise all feeding equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Boil 1 litre of fresh water and allow it to cool for 30 minutes, but no longer. Measure the required amount of water into a sterilised bottle.
Using only the scoop supplied, add 1 level scoop (approximately 4.8g) for every 30ml of water.
Fit the sterilised teat and cap and shake vertically and vigorously for approximately 25 seconds until the powder is dissolved. Cool under running water and check the temperature before feeding. Feed immediately.
Important information:
Breastfeeding is best for babies. Aptamil Pepti 2 is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and must only be used under medical supervision after consideration of all feeding options, including breastfeeding.
It is suitable only from 6 months of age as part of a mixed diet and should not be used as a breastmilk substitute before 6 months.
Powdered infant formula is not sterile. Prepare each feed immediately before use. Do not boil prepared formula or use a microwave to prepare or warm it.
Some separation of the prepared feed may occur due to the specialised formulation. Shake well before use.
Aptamil Pepti 2 is not suitable for vegetarians or a Halal diet. Nutricia states that it is processed using pork trypsin enzyme, although this enzyme is not present in the final product. The UK product has Kosher approval.
Store the tin in a cool, dry place and do not refrigerate. Once opened, replace the lid after use and use within 4 weeks.
