CliniSorb® Activated Charcoal Dressings

CliniSorb® is a sterile activated charcoal dressing designed to control unpleasant wound odour. The activated charcoal adsorbs odour-producing substances, helping improve comfort and dignity for people with malodorous wounds.

Key features:

• Contains activated charcoal
• Helps control and reduce wound odour
• Suitable for lightly to moderately exuding wounds
• Can be used as a primary or secondary dressing
• Soft and flexible
• Can be cut to fit the wound
• Either side can be applied to the wound
• Non-adherent polyamide-coated outer surface
• Can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound condition
• Sterile and single use

Suitable for:

• Fungating wounds
• Pressure ulcers
• Leg ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Other acute or chronic malodorous wounds

Important information:

For dry or lightly exuding wounds, an appropriate primary wound-contact dressing may be required beneath CliniSorb®.

Wound odour can sometimes indicate infection or deterioration. Persistent or increasing malodour should therefore be clinically assessed.
