Emollients should be applied after hand washing to help protect the skin.
Most ordinary soaps are very drying to the skin and can be irritant, particularly when used on dry skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, ichthyosis and elderly dry skin. Soap substitutes such as Doublebase Shower, Doublebase Wash and Doublebase Bath contain emollient oils and are able to gently cleanse the skin without foaming or stripping the skin’s natural oils, providing an effective alternative to foaming shower gels, soaps and bubble bath
