ConvaTec Esteem synergy®+ InvisiClose® is a drainable ostomy pouch for use with compatible 48mm Esteem synergy® skin barriers. It forms part of a flexible two-piece adhesive-coupling system, allowing the pouch to be changed separately from the skin barrier.

Instead of a traditional rigid plastic coupling ring, Esteem synergy® uses Adhesive Coupling Technology™. A soft foam adhesive on the pouch attaches securely to the clear landing zone of the compatible skin barrier, creating a low-profile and flexible connection between pouch and baseplate.

Code 416799 is the opaque 48mm version with an integrated filter, two-sided comfort covering, InvisiClose® tail closure and Lock-it Pocket™.

Directions:

Apply the appropriate Esteem synergy® 48mm skin barrier according to its manufacturer's instructions.

Ensure the clear landing zone on the skin barrier is clean and ready for attachment.

Remove the protective release material from the adhesive coupling area of the pouch.

Carefully align the pouch with the 48mm landing zone.

Press the adhesive coupling securely around the entire circumference to ensure good attachment between the pouch and baseplate.

To close the InvisiClose® outlet:

Hold the white outlet end strips.

Roll the pouch outlet upwards three times until the interlocking InvisiClose® strips align.

Press the interlocking closure together across the full width of the outlet using a firm pinch-and-press motion.

For additional discretion and security, turn the Lock-it Pocket™ around the folded outlet so that the tail is tucked securely away.

To empty the pouch:

Unfold the Lock-it Pocket™ to expose the pouch outlet.

Release the InvisiClose® fastening.

Unroll the outlet.

Direct the pouch outlet into the toilet and empty the contents.

The sides of the outlet can be gently pressed to open it more fully.

Wipe the inside of the outlet clean with tissue before reclosing.

Re-roll the outlet three times, securely engage the InvisiClose® fastening and return it into the Lock-it Pocket™.

• Replace the pouch if it becomes damaged, leaks or no longer attaches securely

• Persistent leakage or difficulties with appliance fit should be discussed with a Stoma Care Nurse
