Glyceryl Trinitrate Spray is used to relieve an angina attack and can also be used before activities known to trigger angina.
How to use:
At the start of an angina attack, sit down and spray one or two doses under the tongue. If symptoms continue, further treatment may be used at five-minute intervals, up to a maximum of three sprays in total. Seek immediate medical attention if symptoms have not resolved after three sprays. For prevention, use one or two sprays two to three minutes before an activity likely to trigger angina.
Important information:
Do not use with sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil or similar erectile-dysfunction medicines, or with riociguat, as blood pressure may fall dangerously. GTN may cause headache, dizziness or faintness; rise slowly after use. Not suitable for under 18s.
