Hollister Adapt™ Barrier Ring is a flexible, mouldable ostomy barrier ring designed to help improve the fit of a stoma pouching system and reduce the risk of leakage.

The ring can be used to fill or caulk uneven skin contours, creases and folds around the stoma, helping create a flatter surface underneath the pouch or baseplate. It can be stretched, cut or stacked to accommodate individual stoma shapes and abdominal contours.

Code 7805 is the standard Adapt Barrier Ring with a 48mm outer diameter and 4.5mm thickness, providing greater filling capacity than the Slim 7815 version.

Directions:

Ensure the skin around the stoma is clean and completely dry.

Remove one Adapt™ Barrier Ring from its individual packaging.

Gently stretch and shape the ring to fit closely around the stoma.

If required, the ring can be cut and reshaped to accommodate irregular stoma shapes or difficult skin contours.

It may also be stacked with another appropriate ring where greater filling depth is required.

Apply the ring either directly around the stoma or to the adhesive side of the compatible skin barrier, according to your usual stoma-care technique.

Press gently into place to fill gaps, folds or uneven areas.

Apply the stoma pouch or baseplate over the ring according to the appliance manufacturer's instructions.
